# Request For Comments - NHS Event Standards

This is a fag packet list of standards used across the NHS. 

Some are in effect standards, especially Patient Administration / HL7v2 ADT  and Orders + Observation's (outside of primary care). 

Events should (/must?) agnostic to transport (so work on MESH, Http, FTP, etc)

They are small on purpose. 

The suggestion is like HL7v2 and also the USofA http://hl7.org/fhir/us/davinci-alerts/index.html (this is a business focused description of the events)
This assumes pure FHIR RESTful wouldn't be practical (however some events would be small enough to be RESTful like the POST /DocumentReference used in NRL). Having a mix of both interaction is a practical option?
